VOD tariff tags

To set up subscriber access to VOD services, you must create a VOD tariff tag - a special tag that groups VOD sources (such as Viju VOD or a provider’s VOD library) and is assigned to the tariffs in which VOD services are provided.

Creating a VOD tariff tag

To create and configure a VOD tariff tag, follow the steps below:

  1. In the VOD section of the TVIP TMS control panel, go to the VOD Tariff Tags subsection. A table of tags will appear on the page.

  2. Click the + button to the left above the tag table. This will display the tariff tag creation panel, where the following fields and properties will be presented for filling in:

  • Provider - provider, for whose tariffs the tag is created. If this field is left blank, the tag will be active globally.

  • Name - tag name. This field is mandatory.

  • Enabled - This toggle is responsible for whether this tag is enabled within the system.

  • Region - option of territorial restriction of access to VOD sources united by a tag within the provider’s regional policy. Regions are selected from the list.

  • Tariff - one or more tariffs for which this tag applies. The tariffs are selected from the list.

  1. After filling in the above required and optional fields, click the Save button, and then click the Sources tab. A table of VOD sources will appear on the page.

  2. If you want to create a new VOD source, click the + button to the left above the source table. The source creation panel will be displayed, and the following fields will be available to fill in:

  • Code - name of the source. This field is mandatory.

  • VOD source type - the following source types are currently available:

    • VOD is the main source type and by default includes VOD content available in the provider’s VOD library.

    • VIJU is the source of the content available when integrated with the Viju VOD library (for more information on this integration, see the corresponding documentation page).

    • START is the source of the content available when integrated with the Start VOD library (for more information on this integration, see the corresponding documentation page).

  • Description - a brief description of the source.

  1. After completing the mandatory and optional fields described above, click on the Save button.

After that, VOD services will start to be provided to subscribers within the tariffs marked with the created tag.

Warning

In case set-top box or app displaying a blank page instead of a paywall for VoD content or if a paywall does not contain links to the tariffs which should provide this VoD content, make sure that the VoD tariff tag associated with the source of this content is linked to at least one tariff.
