Feeds
Note
The client part of this functionality is implemented only in applications for Android TV, Samsung Tizen and LG WebOS and is supported by them since version 6.5.8.
This section is used to add various feeds to the interface of client applications and devices at the provider’s discretion. Feeds allow you to enrich and prioritize content delivery to users.
Note
Some of the functionality of the feeds is under development.
Basic settings
- Type:
The type of feed to be created. Selectable from one of the following:
Provisioning banner - displays on the main screen of the client application a banner specified via provisioning, which will be displayed on client devices;

On client devices, support for this functionality is currently under development.
Apps;
Note
The application feed functionality is under development and will be available only for TVIP S-BOX set-top boxes.
Channels - channel feed. Displays TV channels available for viewing by the user, as well as promotional channels;
CCTV - access to video surveillance cameras.

Servers - server feeds in which various content available on the TMS, such as TV channels or VOD, can be presented using system URIs. Unlike the other feeds listed above, the content for this one is generated by the administrator.
- Name:
The name of the Feed. Displayed above it in the client application interface.
- Device type:
The type of client device on which this Feed will be displayed. The following types are available to choose from:
PHONE - Smartphones;
STB - TVIP S-Box devices;
TABLET - tablets;
TV - Smart TV;
WEB - Web Player;
- Card parameters:
This section lists the properties that determine how the Feeds and their contents are displayed in client applications. You can enable or disable the following properties:
Focusable - determines whether the focus moves to the current Feed item when navigating the Feed.
Expanded - increases the height of the Feed cards to show additional information about its elements.
Show item title - determines whether the name of items in the feed will be displayed when viewing it.
- Card width:
Width of the card when it is displayed on the client device. This parameter is selected from the drop-down list and is mandatory.
- Card height:
The height of the card when it is displayed on the client device. This parameter is selected from the drop-down list and is mandatory.
- Subtype of generated feed:
Allows you to create a Continue watching feed - the elements of this feed will be cards of VOD content, which for one reason or another was not viewed to the end by the user of the current profile on the client device. When you click on a card, viewing of the content corresponding to it will be resumed at the place where the user stopped viewing it earlier. Only the server feed can be configured as a view continuation feed.
- Hide feed:
This switch allows you to turn off the display of the created Feed on client devices.
Configuring server feed elements
Server Feed elements use System URIs to navigate to content available in the TMS. In fact, these URIs allow you to take the user to one of the available application interfaces or directly to the content playback.
Options and examples of System URIs for server Feed elements
Television
- tvplayer
Go to the “Television” section.
- tvplayer/?channel=1
Start showing the channel with ID 1.
- tvplayer/?channel_num=1
Start showing channel number 1.
- tvplayer/?channel=1&start=xxxx
Show a description of the transmission in an archive with a startup option for a channel with ID 1 and a start time of
xxxxx(in Unix time format).
- tvplayer/?channel=1&start=xxxx&force=true
Start showing the channel archive with ID 1 and the beginning
xxxx(in Unix time format).
Films
- vod
Go to the VOD section.
- vod/?movie=1
Show movie description with ID 1.
- vod/?series=2
Show list of seasons of the series with ID 2.
- vod/?series=2&season=3
Show list of episodes of the season with ID 3 of the series with ID 2.
- vod/?series=2&season=3&episode=4
Show episode description with ID 4 season ID 3 of series with ID 2.
- vod/?category=2
Showing the contents of the VOD category with ID 2.
- vod/?category=2&tag=3
Show VOD content of a category with ID 2 that belongs to a genre with ID 3.
Parameters of server feed items
The following item properties are available for customization:
- Name:
Item name. It will be displayed above it if the corresponding option is enabled in the server Feed settings. This field is mandatory.
- Subtitle:
A text field where you can write a description of the item or other related information that may be of interest to users.
- Deeplink:
System URI to the content or client application interface that will be navigated to when the item is selected.
- Background video URL:
A link to a video that will play in the background when you navigate to the item while navigating the feed.

On client devices, support for this functionality is currently under development.
- Image:
A tab where you can customize the background image that will be displayed when you navigate to an item in the feed.
Marks
Marks can be placed on a feed item to further emphasize the properties of the corresponding content, as well as to distinguish the item from other items in the feed. A label has the following property:
- Mark position:
The location of the mark on the feed item. Selected from the drop-down list. When this field is filled in, other fields related to mark are activated in the interface.
- Mark title:
Displayed mark name.
- Mark icon:
A small icon displayed on the mark.
